André Trantraal is a writer, political cartoonist and translator form Cape Town. He has written and/or illustrated various newspaper cartoons, children’s books and comic books, including Coloureds, Stormkaap and Keegan and Samier. His work has been exhibited globally in Amsterdam, Hamburg and Cape Town.

André is the lead cartoonist in animating the memorialisation of heroines Krotoa and Nokuthula Simelane!
